OPERATIONS OF CONTROLS AND GAUGES
THROTTLE
The throttle control is located to the left of the driver compartment. The engine must be operating at full governed
speed of 2150 “no load” RPM (broom control off and machine sitting still), to maintain optimum machine travel
speed, hopper loading and dust control. Before turning off the key and stopping the engine, move lever to idle
speed.
CHOKE
LP powered engines do not have a choke. The choke is located to the right of the throttle. The choke governs the
mixture of air and fuel during the combustion cycle of the engine operation. The choke should be pulled out during
the start of the engine and then gradually pushed back in after the engine is warm.
PARKING BRAKE
The parking brake lever is located in the left side of the driver compartment floor. This lever when raised to the
upright position will “lock” the foot brake pedal in the down position.
FOOT BRAKE
The foot brake pedal is located to the right of the steering column on the floor of the driver compartment. The foot
brake on front wheels is a mechanical system actuated by the brake pedal.
